OTARI MTR-90 series II Reel to Reel Tape Machine 24 Trk
| Condition: Very Good. This top notch professional multitrack deck was taken from a professional recording facility and was in use up to the day it was pulled for sale. It is functionally and cosmetically in great condition. Specifically, the heads condition breaks down as follows: playback heads are at 50% / record at 60% / and sync at 60 %. The heads have at least one, probably two relaps left, and it will last another several thousand hours of use before a relap is necessary. Everything calibrates perfectly. We also have an Otari 24 trk MTR-90 Mk I, available at a discount price. First, a note from SV….TAPE IS NOT DEAD!!! Tape will continue to be manufactured and available regardless of the recent scare. And dumping tape onto digital systems will still be the BEST sound for many more years. Viva la Analog! Now for the description… OTARI MTR-90 series II. This machine is in very good condition both cosmetically and functionally, heads relapped once, with approximately 500 hours of use since. Comes with original manual, and the CB-147 logic control/track-arming remote, on rolling stand. Though this deck does not come with the Otari ‘Time Code Sync Card’, it has been modified to offer a back panel Time Code ReShape toggle switch.
