Condition: Excellent. This classic Urei La3a is in A+ tip-top operational condition. It has been thoroughly tested & serviced (see pics), and had it’s power supply repaired (no damage to the unit or psu since it was taken to the shop immediately). The repair shop is EARS in NYC. They are true specialists. This industry revered leveling amp was taken from a working professional facility, and has only the expected cosmetic wear, no tear. Comes with a 30-Day warranty.

One could write about the LA3A for pages, but if you are looking at making the LA3A a part of your audio palette you most likely know what it’s capable of. There are tons of forums concerning the LA3A and everything surrounding it.
The LA-3A Leveling Amplifier made its debut at the 1969 NY AES show and marked the departure from the tube design of the Teletronix LA-2A Leveling Amplifier. The LA-3A incorporated components and design concepts from the Putnam-designed 1176LN Limiting Amplifier. Immediately embraced as a studio workhorse and still widely used today, the LA-3A remains a favorite of engineers and producers worldwide for its unique compression characteristics and sonic signature.
