Hohner Clavinet D6 Electric Keyboard Piano no E7 Pianet
Well this instrument is well enough known that we can skip the basic introduction. The electronics have just been gone over and are now like new. As for the physical condition, see the pics for pretty much all there is to see. The keyboard and all interals and wood panels are all in great shape. The case is a little raggedy. Maybe that’s too strong a word. It’s not that bad, just se the pics and you’ll see that the inside doesn’t look anything like the outside.
As for playability, the action is pretty good but like most clavs, could use a setup. The strings are very good and definitely don’t need to be changed. However, the hammers are ready for a change. New hammers go for about $40 on ebay or $50 elsewhere online. Anyone without any skill whatsoever and without any tools can change the hammers in about an hour. Now the setup is different. If you don’t know what you’re doing, you should have a pro do it. It’s not that you’ll break it or screw anything up, it’s just that you’ll prob make it so that it’s not the most fun clav to play. Here’s the deal: the winner can chose to have us do the hammers for $100. If you want the hammers and a pro tune-up by (literally) the best and most knowledgeable clav tech in NYC, $400. I know it’s expensive but it’s worth with one of these. Otherwise, you get it as is. It will be in playable condition as is but the hammers will be a little sticky.
