Gibson 1996 Les Paul Studio Wine Red Joe Barden PUs
Condition: Lovingly mistreated. It's got some marks in several spots, none of them huge. Please see the pictures for details. It's had flat wound strings most of it's life so the frets are in awsome shape.
This is a 1996 Wine Red/Gold Hardware Gibson Les Paul Studio with an ebony fret board. 1997 is known as the year that Gibson stopped making studios like they used to. It's one of those guitar's that became someone's personal obsession… nearly everything on this guitar has been replaced with a premium aftermarket part. The best upgrade would probably be the Joe Barden two-tone push/pull single-coil/humbuckers. These are considered the most even coil tap pickups ever made. They are no longer available and can be seen for $400 sometimes. The voicing is unbelievable.
The tuners are schaller with a hip-shot de-tuner on the low-E. The saddles have been replaced with man-mad ivory saddles by Graphtech. The knobs are Gibson amber replacements. Theres a handmade wood humbucker ring on the bridge position. Schaller strap-locks. A PYTHON SKIN pickguard!
This guitar has a soul that cannot be measured…
