Zildjian 21" A PLATINUM Rock Ride Vintage 1980's Avedis
They don't make these any more because of the high cost of chrome-plating and now it is a highly-sought-after collectible... It's an intrigueing finish to see on a cymbal because we're so used to the yellowish bronze color but this tone but it really looks platinum... not so much chrome as a true platinum color. This one was made around the mid 1980's.
It has normal wear for it's age (maybe less) and absolutely no abuse or real scratches or dings. While the top of the mounting hole is completely round, the bottom side is showing the start of a keyhole. It's not actually a keyhole but you could see it starting. You could either file it round again, or just leave it be. You don't have to play a cymbal like this too hard to get what you want out of it. It's got a rich and deep sound to it but with clear stick defition. It's on the heavier side. It's a classic Zildjian "A" Rock sound but with a very cool finish.
