| 1) What is Sounds And Visions Equipment Consignment? Sounds And Visions Equipment Consignment is a company that provides a service which sells your unused Pro Audio and A/V equipment for you and gets you premium prices. 2) What type of equipment is accepted? We deal with anything involved in a production environment (pre & post included). This means pretty much anything involved in your business (or your project environment), even your business machines. Instruments, computers all analog and digital hardware (consoles, tape machines, converters, etc…), mic’s, acoustic materials, wiring, even your office machines. Yes, there is some stuff that just isn’t worth selling for either you or Sounds & Visions but we try to be as helpful as possible. 3) Sounds And Visions E.C. will arrive to my door to pick it up? Yes, we will take on the Tri-State traffic, regardless of season, and get the equipment. So that you don’t have to deal with any moving or shipping. (tri-state means NY, NJ, CT) 4) What are the commission rates? You can view our initial commission rates by clicking here. The rate really depends on the lot that you are giving us… call us for a better idea of what we can do for you. 5) Besides contacting Sounds And Visions E.C., is there anything at all that I need to do to sell my merchandise? NO! The point of Sounds & Visions is to make everything as effortless as possible for you. We do ask that you know the condition of your equipment and that you prepare it for pickup. However, if you can’t, we do offer uninstall and cleaning services as well. 6) What if I am located outside the Sounds And Visions E.C. coverage area, can I ship to you? You can contact us and we’ll make it happen. 7) When do I get paid? When your equipment sells, you get an itemized report and payment. In most cases, less than 45 days. 8) Why should I use Sounds & Visions when I can sell it myself or sell it to an equipment dealer? Have you ever tried? Selling it to a dealer basically means getting ripped off. Dealers pay, on average, a 1/3 of the value and often less. And as for doing it yourself, even if you are capable of selling your specific equipment, it’s just not worth the time and effort it takes, especially shipping. We’ve proven to all of our clients that we can deliver better $ amounts than expected. It’s because we’re good at selling and our buyers trust us… so even once we take our commission, you’re left with a big chunk of cash and you didn’t even have to do anything. 9) Is my equipment insured when it leaves me?
